I went to Four Seasons Serengeti. And although it was not for one day, I love that expression so it became the title.. sorry to mislead anyone. (I did have sun and rain in one day so I guess it is not that inappropriate.) I had to go for work but I knew it would be a treat. And gosh, it so was..
The building that Four Seasons is in, is not new. So I already knew the location is grand: bang smack in the middle of the Serengeti. But there was – very obviously – no money or effort spared to make the building match the Four Seasons standard. A suite with a plunge pool on the balcony, an inside and outside shower, and an espresso machine instead of the regular coffee- and tea-facilities tray? Right.
Myself, I am a sucker for a bath with a view. Here, I was not only spoiled with a bath with a gorgeous view but also the pool had a unique back drop. The infinity pool had the waterhole behind it so when animals come to drink, you feel you can swim right up to them.. Fantastic.
- after my meetings, I finally had a late swim – rain in the North East.. I guess I had four seasons in one day after all
